Oh boy, Ally Maki’s about to embark on an adventure that’s way different than her Toy Story 4 escapades – she’s gonna be a mom! Yep, you heard it right. The Big Door Prize star spilled the beans, saying she and her fiancé, Travis Atreo, are expecting their first bundle of joy. “There’s no hiding it anymore,” she exclaimed.
During a cozy chat with PEOPLE, Ally couldn’t help but share her excitement. “I’m showing a lot, so it’s time to announce it,” she confessed. And honestly? She’s done with hiding. “I want my bump to be out and proud!” she declared, revealing she’s cruising through her second trimester.
Pregnancy, according to Ally, has been a rollercoaster of beauty and surprises. “It’s been so beautiful in really unexpected ways,” she mused. But oh, the stress of endless tests! “That was just something I wasn’t expecting,” she admitted. For someone who loves having everything under control, this journey’s been a bit of a wild ride. “Like, you know what? Whatever’s going to happen will happen.” And then, with a smile, she shared they’re expecting a girl. “We already love her.”

Then, the pandemic hit, and amidst it all, Ally faced a health scare with a diagnosis of Grave’s disease. “That was devastating,” she shared, her voice tinged with the weight of those days. They had dreams of starting a family, but suddenly, they had to hit pause. It took a year and a half of waiting, hoping, and treatments before they could even think of trying for a baby.
When they finally got the green light, Ally’s health threw them for another loop. Her thyroid levels were all over the place, sending her into a spiral of worry. “I started sobbing,” she recalled, the memory still vivid. And then, in a twist fit for a movie, a pregnancy test changed everything. “In the span of five minutes I went from thinking it was the worst news in the world to being so elated. And shocked!”
