Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, reality stars known for their love story on Bachelor in Paradise, are expanding their family. They’re expecting baby number two. “Overwhelmed as hell,” Ashley quipped.
The announcement came during an Amazon Live video. Their son, Dawson Dimitri, was part of the reveal, sporting a “big brother” shirt. Jared emphasized the importance of giving Dawson a sibling. “We want Dawson to have a sibling. That’s very important,” he said.
Both Ashley and Jared come from two-kid families. They wanted to continue that tradition with Dawson. The couple tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed Dawson on January 31, 2022.
Jared, who also hosts the Suckers podcast, shared his mixed feelings about expanding the family. “I want that big family dynamic, but man, having so many kids is just so overwhelming. So even the idea of a second kid, it’s no longer two-on-one where we can play defense against him. Now it’s just one-on-one.”
Ashley gave an update on her pregnancy. She said it’s “been a lot easier than the other one.” She suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy, which caused her to vomit multiple times a day up to about 30 weeks. “And the first 16 to 18 weeks were just absolutely debilitating,” she added.
While she’s grateful that this pregnancy is less challenging, Ashley admitted, “I haven’t been great. I don’t like the feeling of being pregnant. I never want to feel this again. Just don’t like it.”
In August, Ashley discussed her family plans on her podcast Ben And Ashley I Almost Famous. She revealed her “gender disappointment” with Dawson, as she had hoped for a girl. However, she’s less concerned about the sex of her future babies. “I’d be happy if we had a boy too because then I’d want them to have that, hopefully, brother bond.”
