Earlier this year, it was revealed that renowned thespians Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy were adding to their clan. Now, it’s been confirmed that the couple has welcomed baby number three, after being spotted in New York City alongside a stroller.
The pair were snapped in a candid moment, maneuvering a stroller through the busy New York streets. A spokesperson for Danes and Dancy later confirmed to PEOPLE that the leading lady from ‘Fleishman Is in Trouble’ had indeed given birth to a baby girl. The name of the latest addition remains a mystery at this point.
The couple’s latest bundle of joy joins two siblings in the family. Cyrus Michael Christopher, born in 2012 and Rowan, born in 2018, are the sons of the couple. It was revealed, following their pregnancy announcement, that both sons were not entirely overjoyed about the prospect of a new sibling. On ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Danes shared Cyrus’ cool acceptance and Rowan’s outright opposition to the idea.
Danes even shared an anecdote about Rowan’s initial solution to the ‘baby problem’ – to give her to a family in need of a baby, because ‘we’re done’. However, Danes was able to pique Rowan’s curiosity by painting the picture of him as an authoritative figure who could guide the ‘ignorant’ baby. This adjusted role made him significantly more positive towards the incoming sibling.
Warmest wishes are extended to Claire and Hugh on the birth of their first daughter from their legion of fans and well-wishers.
