Darren Criss, the singer-songwriter, is on his way to fatherhood again! The “Christmas Dance” singer has announced that his wife, Mia Swier, is pregnant with their second child. They broke the news with an intentionally bad photoshopped image.
The image was inspired by the 2018 sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Each family member’s head was poorly photoshopped onto the cast members’ bodies. Two positive pregnancy tests were added at the bottom of the image.
Darren started his caption with “And COMING SOON.” He then added, “let’s hope the sequel is better than the photoshop.” Darren, who recently finished his A Very Darren Crissmas North America Tour, didn’t reveal the due date of his upcoming newborn.
The Glee star and his wife welcomed their first child, a daughter, in April 2022. They named her Bluesy Belle Criss, a name with a musical twist. On Father’s Day, Darren posted a heartwarming picture of himself holding Bluesy’s hand. He was wearing a hat that read “Girl Dad.” He captioned the photo, “all about it.”
Darren and Mia’s love story began in 2006 when they met through mutual friends. However, it took four years for their relationship to turn romantic. In January 2018, they announced their engagement. Darren revealed that they had been engaged for a while before they made the announcement. The exact duration remains a mystery. The couple exchanged vows in New Orleans in February 2019.
