Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman are in the throes of new parenthood. Yep, they’ve just welcomed their first child into the world. Back in September, they dropped the bombshell – they were expecting. A baby was on the way!
They took to Instagram, sharing a snapshot that was all kinds of adorable. Just a pair of tiny feet, chilling on what looked like the fluffiest pillow ever. But, true to their style, they kept the baby’s name and sex under wraps. Privacy is their jam, after all.
Emmy, with a touch of humor and a whole lot of love, penned down something special. “Dear baby, you’ve flipped our world upside down. Our hearts? Overflowing. The love we’ve got for you? It’s something else. Thanks for picking us. Now, would you kindly hit the hay? With love, Mom and Dad.” Daveed chimed in with a shoutout to Adam Mansbach’s “Go the F*ck to Sleep,” calling it the ultimate children’s book. Classic.
Their love story? It’s straight out of a Broadway show. Literally. They met in 2015, both cast in “Hamilton.” Daveed was Lafayette and Jefferson; Emmy, the Schuyler sisters. Sparks flew, and the rest is history.
Fast forward to 2021, they’re giving us a peek into their life in Southern California. Speaking to Architectural Digest, they gushed about their home. It’s more than just a house to them. It’s a reflection of their journey, their community, their love. Emmy put it beautifully, “It’s tough to be away. This place? It’s got our heart.”
