Celebrity real-life series star, Jessa Seewald, formerly known as Jessa Duggar, is preparing for a new addition to her growing family. Together with her spouse, Ben Seewald, they have joyfully announced that they are expecting their fifth child. This welcome announcement occurs after the couple experienced a miscarriage in the previous year.
The couple disclosed their uplifting news on their shared YouTube channel. In the video, Jessa, still recovering from the tragedy of the past year, showed a proof of her pregnancy. She explained that the arrival of their new child, whom they consider a “rainbow baby”, comes after a sorrowful period, but brought them great joy. They wrapped up the announcement by sharing snippets from their relaxing mini vacation.
The announcement of their pregnancy came roughly half a year after publicly disclosing their miscarriage. Recounting the painful period, Jessa confessed that the unexpected loss had left them in shock. The miscarriage caught them off guard especially since there were no clear warning signs. She recounted how she had only seen minimal signs and before they knew it, she had to be admitted to the hospital to undergo a dilation and curettage (D & C) procedure. She highlighted that despite the heartbreak, she is thankful for the short time she carried their unborn child.
Jessa, a prominent member of the show ’19 Kids and Counting’, co-parents two sons and two daughters with Ben: Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern, the youngest born in the summer of 2021.
The couple received numerous congratulatory messages on their Instagram post announcing the forthcoming birth of their rainbow baby.
