In her recent podcast episode of Barely Famous, Kailyn made the announcement, revealing that in the previous year, she and her partner Elijah Scott became the parents to a baby boy named Rio. She was determined to maintain her privacy, sharing her reasons exclusively with PEOPLE. She wished to share her story on her terms, without any contractual obligations limiting her. Given that rumors of her pregnancy have been rampant, Kailyn confessed that she felt unprepared to disclose the news. Nevertheless, with the information already public, she felt compelled to speak on it, endeavoring to tell it in her way.

This is the first child for Kailyn and Elijah. Kailyn, the author of “Pride Over Pity,” also has four other sons from previous relationships. Her eldest, 13-year-old Isaac, she co-parents with Jo Rivera, and 9-year-old Lincoln with Javi Marroquin. Additionally, she has two younger sons with her former partner Chris Lopez: Lux aged 6 and Creed aged 3.
