Oh boy, Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are at it again! They’re adding another tiny dancer to their troupe. Peta’s got a bun in the oven, making it baby number three for this “Dancing with the Stars” duo. And guess what? This news dropped just seven months after their second kiddo came into the world. Yep, in June 2023, they welcomed baby number two. Now they’re like, “Surprise! We’re having another!”
To spill the beans, Peta and Maks hit up Instagram. They posted this adorable video where Peta’s telling Maks over FaceTime. Both of them looked like they’d just won a trophy, but also, “Whoa, are we really doing this again?” Peta’s all, “We need a bigger house, babe!” And you can tell she’s half-joking but also probably starting to browse real estate listings in between diaper changes.
Peta’s Instagram post was a mix of excitement and “Yeah, we know, it’s soon.” She’s like, “Just had a baby…haha! Surprise at 4 months postpartum with Rio, but we’re stoked!” It’s that kind of happy chaos you can’t help but smile at.
Their family’s growing fast. They’ve got Shai Aleksander, who made his grand entrance in January 2017, and then there’s Rio John, the summer baby of June 2023. Peta’s journey to motherhood hasn’t been all smooth sailing, though. Before Rio, she faced some tough times with miscarriages and a rollercoaster of IVF attempts. But here they are, blessed and buzzing with the news of baby number three. It’s a story of hope, resilience, and a bit of unexpected joy.
Peta and Maks? They’ve got a love story that’s been through its ups and downs. Met in 2009, friends first, then sparks flew on “Dancing with the Stars.” They had a bit of an off-on thing, breaking up and making up. But love won out, and they tied the knot in July 2017, with little Shai already in the picture.
So here’s a big congrats to Peta and Maks! They’re dancing through life, one baby step at a time.
