Rose McIver, the actress we all know and love, is about to take on a new role. She’s gonna be a mom! The Ghosts star dropped this bombshell at the 2024 Golden Globes held in Los Angeles. She was there as a presenter, but she ended up presenting her own personal news too.
Her husband, George Byrne, an artist by profession, is the soon-to-be dad. This joyous news comes just after they celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Rose graced the red carpet in a delicate pale pink Gucci dress. She proudly cradled her baby bump for all to see. She later shared the news on her Instagram page, but kept the details under wraps. No word on the due date yet.
The timeline of Rose’s life has been pretty eventful. She and George started dating in 2017, and they tied the knot in January 2023. And now, a year later, they’re expecting their first child.

Rose and George didn’t have your typical wedding. They eloped in New York, saying their vows at a courthouse. Later, they had a traditional wedding ceremony in Rose’s home country, New Zealand. Surrounded by family and friends, it was a day to remember.
Rose reminisced about her wedding on The Talk last May. She shared, “We got married in January, January 2nd. It was, yeah, really lovely. We eloped… It was so nice.” After the wedding, they spent some time in Tasmania on a farm, with very little hair brushing or self-care, as she put it.
