Shawn Johnson, Gymnast, Discloses the Name and Gender of Her Third Child with Spouse Andrew East

Shawn Johnson, the Olympic gymnast, and her husband Andrew East welcomed their third baby last week. They chose to keep the baby’s name and sex a secret initially, wanting to spend some time with their newborn first. Now, they’ve finally spilled the beans about baby number 3!

The couple is now proud parents to another baby boy. They’ve named their second son Barrett “Bear” Madison East. The news was announced by the Gold Medalist herself, along with a black and white family photo. She wrote, “We’ve all been waiting for you.”

Before revealing Bear’s name, Shawn dropped a hint on Instagram. She posted a picture of the newborn with a bear emoji and his birth date. Fans quickly started guessing, with Bear and Teddy being the top guesses. Shawn also shared more pictures of Bear on her Instagram stories, calling him “Our sweet sweet Bear.”

Bear is joining his older siblings, Drew Hazel, 4, and Jett James, 2. Andrew, a former football player, reflected on the experience of welcoming his third child. He shared a post with his new son and wrote, “First one was scary, third one is fun.”

We extend our congratulations to Shawn and Andrew on the arrival of their third baby! Here’s hoping they continue to enjoy their life as a family of five.
