Notoriously known for expanding his family tree, Elon Musk’s offspring list seems to keep growing. One can’t help but compare Musk’s large brood to that of Nick Cannon. Here’s a compilation of Musk’s children, their respective names and their mothers as of now.
Nevada Alexander Musk
In 2000, Musk tied the knot with Canadian author, Justine Wilson. The pair greeted their son Nevada Alexander Musk two years later in 2002. Tragically, Nevada suffered from SIDS and passed away when he was just 10 weeks old.
Griffin and Vivian Musk
Following Nevada’s untimely demise, Musk and Justine opted for IVF, welcoming twins Griffin and Xavier Musk in 2004. However, in 2022, Vivian publicly identified as transgender. She chose to take on the first name Vivian and assume her mother’s surname, dissociating herself from any relations with her biological father. Her official name now stands as Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk
Elon and Justine carried on with IVF and in 2006, the triplet sons Kai, Saxon, and Damian were born. Their marriage, however, came to an end in 2008.
X AE A-XII Musk
In May 2020, Musk and singer Grimes welcomed a child, intriguing many with their unique choice of his name, X Æ A-12. Since the law in California doesn’t allow Greek combo characters or numbers in names, the couple legally modified it to X AE A-XII, where XII represents 12 in Roman Numerals.
Exa Dark Sideræl Musk
In March 2022, Grimes disclosed that she and Elon had another child via surrogate in December 2021, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, casually called Y. Musk’s first child with Grimes is affectionately referred to as X.
Strider and Azure Musk
Musk’s family grew again in November 2021 when he had twins with Neuralink executive, Shivon Zilis. The boy-girl set was named Strider Zilis Musk and Azure Zilis Musk, with their mother’s surname as the middle name.

Techno Mechanicus
When people were still buzzing about the birth of Strider and Azure, it was uncovered that Musk and Grimes had welcomed a third child, a son they named Techno Mechanicus. It is known that the child goes by the nickname “Tau”.
