A bit of backstory for ya – Ocean’s dad is Lala’s ex, Randall Emmett. But this time around, Lala’s flying solo. Yep, she opted for intrauterine insemination (IUI) to bring baby number two into the world. She’s all about expanding her family, her way. “I will not gamble on me having my child,” she declared, making it clear that love and partnership are separate from her motherhood journey. Initially, she was a tad nervous about sharing her unconventional path, but hey, she’s all for inspiring and empowering others now.
During her Amazon Live chat, Lala, who also hosts the ‘Give Them Lala’ podcast, got real about the process. No gender picking here, she explained. With IUI, it’s more a roll of the dice – her eggs stayed put, and the doctors did their magic. No creating embryos like in IVF. It’s pretty fascinating stuff.
