Whitney Cummings, the comedian, had a big announcement last year. She was going to be a mom. She hosts the Good For You podcast and kept everyone in suspense about her baby’s name. She did, however, let slip the baby’s gender not long after her pregnancy news broke.
Fast forward a month, and she’s finally shared her son’s name. She posted a photo on Instagram, her newborn son lying on her chest. His face isn’t visible, a conscious decision she’s made to protect his privacy.
In the caption, she introduced her son to the world, “Introducing new bubba Henry.” Whitney, who’s also the creator of 2 Broke Girls, couldn’t help but joke about her new mom life. She described Henry as a sweet little piglet whose hobbies include messing with mom’s memory, delaying her podcast releases, and peeing in her mouth during diaper changes.
Before Henry’s arrival, Whitney had a tough time picking a name. She even joked about it on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Pairing a name with her last name, Cummings, was a bit tricky.
She admitted in an October interview, “So I was really, really stuck on the name Maximus. Then I remembered my last name is Cummings.” She had another name in mind, Colt, because she’s a “horse lady.” But a quick Google search revealed that Colt Cummings is a prominent gay porn star.
In the end, she went with a classic name – Henry. It seems to be the perfect fit for baby Henry Cummings. Congrats again, Whitney, on your new bundle of joy!
