Yvonne Strahovski, the actress famed for her role as Serena Joy Waterford in The Handmaid’s Tale, has some delightful news. As 2023 draws to a close, she’s welcomed a new addition to her family.
Her husband, fellow actor Tim Loden, and she are now proud parents to their third baby. “We’ve been waiting for you & love you sooooo much,” she shared in an announcement.
She took to Instagram to share the news, posting a heartwarming picture. The image features her planting a kiss on her newborn, who’s comfortably nestled in Tim’s arms. The proud dad, now a father-of-three, can’t help but smile at the touching moment.
The couple had revealed back in June that they were expanding their family. Yvonne, also known for her role in Scrambled, let her followers in on the details of her son’s arrival. “Our third little (big!) boy thundered into the world at lightning speed,” she wrote. “Thank goodness Tim was there to catch our boy just as our amazing team made it into our home to help. Such an unreal, intense, amazing experience I will never forget.”
The couple, who got hitched in 2017, have been quite private about their children’s names. They’ve yet to reveal the name of their latest bundle of joy, which isn’t surprising. Even the name of their second son, born in December 2021, remains a secret. However, they’ve shared that their firstborn, who arrived in October 2018, is named William.
Yvonne’s post was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages from her peers in the industry. Ever Carradine, her co-star from The Handmaid’s Tale, wrote, “My new best friend is finally here! Can’t wait to spoil you rotten, sweet boy.” Sterling K. Brown from This Is Us chimed in with, “You passed me up! Congratulations, my friend!” Ryan McPartlin, Yvonne’s co-star from Chuck, added his own humorous note: “If only Jeffster could’ve been singing! So much love to you guys!!! Congrats!”
